Five standing edits. Each one is a rail we could physically hang, which is the only rule — if it will not fit on a rail it is not an edit, it is a category.
An edit at Maison is between eleven and eighteen pieces. That number is not a style decision; it is the width of the rail in the fitting room. If an edit grows past it, something has to come off, and the argument about which is the whole exercise.
They exist because almost nobody arrives needing a dress. They arrive needing to be dressed for something — a wedding, a first week in a new job, ten days away with one bag — and the shop’s own categories are useless for that. Knitwear is not an occasion.
Any edit can be pulled for you before you come in. Tell Eleni which one and roughly what you are dressing for, and it will be hanging in the fitting room under your name — in your size, and in the size on either side, because between two sizes is where most of these decisions actually live.
