Tsakalof runs between Skoufa and Patriarchou Ioakeim, and number 13 is the doorway with the stone-coloured awning and no window display worth speaking of. That is deliberate. The window holds one garment at a time, changed on Mondays by Andriana, and it has never held a sale sign.
Inside, the ground floor is womenswear on six rails — new arrivals nearest the door, then knitwear, tailoring, dresses, trousers and the back rail, which is where pieces go when they are down to two sizes. Upstairs is accessories, opened in 2024, and behind it the fitting room and the workroom. If you can hear a machine, that is Konstantinos.

The fitting room is on the first floor, and it is the reason people come back. It has north light, no overhead spot, a full-length mirror that is not tilted to flatter, and a chair for whoever you brought with you. Every piece we put online is pinned on a real body in that room before it is photographed — which is why our size guide occasionally disagrees with the designer’s own.
There is a kettle. It came from Sofia’s grandmother’s atelier on Solonos and it has been in every version of this shop since the first morning. If you are offered a coffee it will be a Greek one, and it will be made badly by whoever is nearest.
