Two brothers in Piraeus, one of whom does the cutting and neither of whom will discuss which. Cut to length in the shop while you wait.
A belt is the most badly sold object in fashion. It is stocked in three lengths, none of which is yours, with a buckle chosen by whoever bought the leather, and it is priced as though the hardware were the expensive part. The hardware is never the expensive part.
Ours come as a strap and a buckle, separately. The strap is vegetable-tanned hide from a Piraeus workshop, cut to your measurement on the counter, punched in front of you and finished in about eight minutes. The buckle you choose — there are five, three of them made by the same silversmith who does the jewellery upstairs.
