Bridal Trousseau

Bridal Trousseau

Three sessions across a season, for the bride, the mother and the rehearsal dinner. By referral, and never more than two at a time.

The three sessions

  1. Six months outTwo hours, the shop closed, and no rails pulled yet. We talk about the day, the light, the room and what you already own. Nothing is bought at this one.
  2. Three months outThe rails are ready and the workroom is on standby. Everything is tried in the order it will be worn. Alterations are measured the same afternoon.
  3. Two weeks outThe final fitting, pressed and bagged, with the shoes broken in and the accessories decided. We deliver to the address you name.

What is included

All three sessions, all alterations for everyone dressed through us, pressing before the day, and a repair after it — a trodden hem is the most common thing we see in the week that follows.

Why by referral

Because it takes the shop out of commission for an afternoon each time, and because it works best when someone has already told you honestly what it is like. Ask anyone we have dressed, or write and we will put you in touch with one of them.

What it costs

The sessions themselves are not charged for. You pay for what you take, at the price on the ticket, and the alterations are free throughout. There is no package and no deposit.
